Seljuk Aqueducts

"Byzantine Aqueducts that have been survived especially around the station and in the county beginning from the east of the Gate of St. Jean (St. John) on the Seljuk Ayasuluk Hill, extends through the Sirince Underway towards north.
These aqueducts were bringing the drinking water provided by water resources in the east of Pranga region between Bedevi and Seljuk to the settlement during the Byzantine era and the St.Jean Church which was the center of pilgrimage during the Middle Ages.
These aqueducts consisting of a total of 124 out-belts, were 15 metres high each. Reused marble blocks brought from Ephesus and Artemision Temple had been used for the construction of the aqueducts. The upper arches had been made of bricks."
