Alacati Alavya Tourism Boutique Hotel
"The historic residential building situated on the Kemalpasa Street in Alacati Municipality of the province of Izmir, was built ny the Greeks between the years 1850 and 1890. The Greek owners of the building went to Greece pursuant to the Agreement Between Greece and Turkey Respecting the Reciprocal Restitution of Interned Civilians and the Exchange of Prisoners of War and as a result of the agreement, the ownership of the building was given to Cemal Karaca who had been brought from Crete. When Cemal Karaca passed over in 1960s, the ownership of the building passed in other hands and sold to a publicist who lives in Istanbul but haven't been used for a long time. The building has remained derelict for nearly 50 years.
Restoration work initiated in October of 2011, was completed in December of 2012. All these works were conducted under supervision of specialists and carried out by an expert team. The building currently serves as a boutique hotel. "
